Hello, friends! I'm back after a short break from all things design, blog and computer related. I hope you enjoyed some time off from your regular routine as well!
I enjoyed a fabulous week of winter (including a blizzard) in Maine with my family, but I'm not quite sure where to enter into this New Year now that I'm back. There are the obvious piles of laundry, grocery shopping and taking down the Christmas decor...but those things don't inspire me. Nor does any kind of list making or goal setting.
I think I'd rather hover just above the clouds today.
{My view from the airplane yesterday evening.}
When I was little, I was sure heaven looked like this.
So here's to 2011. I'm not quite sure what to make of it just yet, but I'll get there. I looked to my first post of 2010 {here} for inspiration and laughed that I feel much the same way a year later. I've never been good at doing the "new" thing!
I'd love to hear from you!

hmmm...not sure what exactly i do. I usually make some kind of resoultions that i never stick to. Follow thru hasnt always been my strong point. As far as my 2011, i am trying to focus on my biz. So many ideas swirling around in my head, but need God's direction. Already feeling behind the 8 ball when it comes to my plans. Seems like i should have started thiking about 2011 way back in 2010 ;-)
ReplyDeleteglad youre home safely...cant wait to catch up!
xxoo
I always get inspired at the beginning of a new year to purge...to clean out...to simplify...to make sure that less is more really is what I'm living by....
ReplyDeleteI always feel hopeful in a new year...I feel especially hopeful this year...I've been on a journey with the Lord the past couple of years...he has done some purging..cleaning out of sorts in my heart....it's been a daily turning over of control in some areas of my life to him...it's been hard on my flesh but sweet to my soul.
I'm HOPING like everything that his work in these areas is made a little more complete this year.
I always love coming to visit you over here!
I'm right there hovering above the heavenly clouds with you Lins! While I mustered up enough motivation to take down the holiday decor yesterday, I haven't an ounce of care or motivation to set goals for the new year or work on putting my house back together. I'm going to stay focused on the day to day with my family and try to spend more quality time with my little one. My goal for tomorrow is to have another morning like today...stress free and not running furiously into the school just before the tardy bell rings. ;)
ReplyDeleteHere's to our new friendships formed in the previous year and our journey together in the coming years.
Hugs~

Happy New Year to you, Linsey!! Glad you are back, I've missed your posts! No real resolutions for me, always striving to have a gracious, unselfish, and grateful heart...be generous with my affection...and live and be present in the moment. Often fall short, but grateful for God's grace & mercy. Hoping your 2011 is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I was on the East Coast with you. Just returned from the Big Apple last night. Saw those very clouds! :)

A new year always motivates me! Though this year I am trying not to cram all of my motivation in the beginning of the year, I hope to spread it out possibly til Feb :)
ReplyDeletewoah. those pics are awesome. what a view! my only 2 desires this year are a) to be a good mommy and b) find a little time for myself....but i think i'm gonna have to do some serious digging for that.
